Monoprinting with Dominique Leoni
25 April 2015

This workshop is inspired by high contrast black and white landscapes. Participants will explore mark making, texture and drawing through the medium of monoprinting; and learn how to produce printed drawings using both positive and negative line work, combined with mark making in the ink to achieve varying textures.

Workshop attendees will also be able to experiment with incorporating collage elements into their prints.

Saturday 25 April  from 11.30am - 4pm (includes a half hour lunch break)

£28 per person (includes an aluminium plate which participants will take home with them).

Plates, rollers, water based printing ink and paper will be provided but all participants are encouraged to bring along objects for mark making, eg; old toothbrushes, combs, old plastic credit cards, bottle tops. Visual resources will also be provided but please feel free to bring your own black and white landscape images to work from.

*Workshop attendees are also advised to bring an apron as printing can be a messy affair.

This workshop is suitable for all levels.

Booking is essential as places are limited. To book, please call 01424 728377 during gallery opening hours.
