Exploring 20th Century Art
Select Thursdays from September 2017

Discover more about the lives, work and times of selected artists from the Jerwood Collection and contemporary exhibitions, in this ten session course.

The course offers a unique opportunity to explore works on display in the gallery, followed by lively and thought provoking discussions in an inclusive and friendly environment in the learning studio. Although some prior knowledge of art history is useful, it is not essential.

This popular course is the fifth in the WEA Art History Series with the Jerwood Gallery and this term, two sessions will be available in order to accommodate increasing numbers.

“I enjoyed every aspect of this course; looking at paintings in the gallery, listening to others on the course and the tutor’s background talks are always fascinating.” (Feedback from a student on the Spring, 2016 course).
