Tal R: eventually all museums will be ships

Tal R (b. 1967), an Israeli-born Danish artist based in Copenhagen, is one of the most important contemporary artists working today. Internationally renowned, Tal R will present paintings, drawings and sculpture in Hastings this summer, including new works that echo Hastings Contemporary’s seaside context in this exhibition; Tal R: eventually all museums will be ships. As an artist, Tal R works in a wide range of media from painting to collage, sculpture to video art, and is constantly evolving his artistic practice and way of working. Known for his unique ability to experiment, reinterpret and create afresh, Tal R is an extraordinary artist whose work explores and takes inspiration from his surroundings.

Uninhibited, and with endless creativity, Tal R’s high productivity and extraordinary range of creative outputs  has led to some likening him to Picasso.  Tal R: eventually all museums will be ships shows Tal R in full flight, revealing new works  as well as celebrating Tal R’s success to date. This exhibition will occupy the majority of the ground floor of Hastings Contemporary’s award winning building this July.

The gallery will be closed from 10th June - 6th July to install this incredible exhibtion.
