The winner of this year’s Jerwood Drawing Prize has been announced. Mit Senoj, a.k.a. Tim Jones, has been awarded £6000 for his drawing The Drum (pictured). Second Prize was awarded to George Charman for his image Ruin 3, and two student prizes were awarded to Frances Stacey and Roxanne Goffin.
The Jerwood Drawing Prize, which forms part of the Jerwood Visual Arts programme, is the largest and longest-running open drawing prize in the country. The winning pieces, including two additional works by Mit Senoi, Virus and My God, are currently exhibited at the Jerwood Space, London until 25th October before going on tour nationally.
