A series of Monday evening events will accompany the exhibition at Jerwood Space. All events are from 6-8pm.
Monday 21 June – A panel discussion exploring the notion of amateur making. Chaired by Stephen Knott, PhD student, School of Applied Art, RCA with Katy Bevan, writer and amateur knitter, Participation & Learning Manager at the Crafts Council; Duncan Hooson, ceramicist and tutor at Morley College and Emma Shercliff, stitcher, writer, lecturer and PhD candidate School of Fashion & Textiles, RCA.
Monday 28 June - A discussion exploring the craft of making fine art. Chaired by Grant Gibson, design writer and Editor of Crafts Magazine with Giles Corby, artist and former technician to Anthony Caro and David Mach, artist.
Monday 5 July - Ceramicist and craft writer Emmanuel Cooper in conversation with this year’s selectors Freddie Robins, Richard Slee and Hans Stofer.
