Jerwood Gallery

Jerwood Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Gilmore as the Director Designate for the Jerwood Gallery, Hastings.

Liz joins Jerwood from Arts Council England, having been Head of Visual Arts for the South East region where she played a key role in nurturing the development of the network of costal galleries; and most recently, as Senior Manager, overseeing Arts Council’s investment across all the arts in the SE. An art historian and gallery specialist by training, Liz brings a wealth of management, advisory and educational experiences. She has worked closely with artists to establish and lead a highly acclaimed informal learning programme at the National Gallery London; acted as a special advisor for the London Museums Agency; and as a university lecturer in fine art professional practice

Liz will be starting her new role as Director Designate, Jerwood Gallery, at the beginning of October.
