The Jerwood Foundation is seeking to appoint a Director Designate for the Jerwood Gallery, opening summer 2011.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the Gallery, café and shop to open to the public; recruiting and managing staff; developing local, national and international interest in the Gallery; programming and promoting the exhibition programme; and providing curatorial input into the display and appeal of the Collections.

An entrepreneurial individual is sought who will have proven leadership and management skills; an interest and understanding of the visual arts; financial and business acumen; and a commitment to success and excellence.
