We are delighted to share with you that new works by Paula Rego for The Boy Who Loved the Sea and Other Stories have now been selected by our guest curator, Colin Wiggins.

Colin Wiggins is an art historian and artist. He began his career as a Research Assistant in the Department of Prints and Drawings at the British Museum before moving to work in the Education Department of the National Gallery, London as Head of Education.

Colin curated exhibitions at the National Gallery by artists including Peter Blake, Paula Rego, Anthony Caro, Ed and Nancy Kienholz and Bridget Riley.

Aside from the final list of paintings, we are busy compiling a list of prints that we would like to showcase and thinking about including some additional sculptures.

The team at the gallery are currently working on the catalogue for the exhibition and the poster is ready to be sent to the printers!

If you donated to the project and are wondering where your reward is please don't worry, it will be sent out to you shortly after the exhibition opens to the public in October.

Once again, thank you to everyone who donated to make this exhibition happen and we look forward to welcoming you to the gallery later this year.

The Boy Who Loved the Sea and Other Stories will open on Saturday 21 October 2017.
