As part of Children’s Arts Week the gallery is delighted to offer free entry to schools within Hastings and St Leonards on Wednesday 14 June, the opening day of Sir Quentin Blake's blockbuster exhibition, The Only Way to Travel.

This is a fantastic opportunity to view our summer show and two smaller exhibitions, Jean Cooke: Delight in the Thing Seen and Kath Thompson: Yesterday and Tomorrow.

As we will be expecting a large number of local children to attend, it is vital that you book your place prior to visiting. Please read the terms and conditions below.

Terms and conditions

Jerwood gallery cannot allow entry without prior booking. Bookings will be taken on a first come first serve basis.

To book your place, please complete a booking form and return this to by Wednesday 7 June. Alternatively, please call 01424 7238377.

A 10 minute introduction to the exhibition will be provided upon arrival. There is also an activity sheet available, please indicate in your booking form if you would like an activity sheet and how many you will need.

Please note that each time slot has a maximum capacity of 70 children, with a staff ratio of 1 adult to 10 children.
