Drawn to the Page returns this autumn with artist and writer, Wendy Ann Greenhalgh, who will be running a two-year creative writing programme for writers of all levels, starting this autumn at Jerwood Gallery. Following workshops in the season will take place at De La Warr Pavilion (Bexhill) and Towner Art Gallery (Eastbourne).

The half-day workshops will be open to all writers – whatever their level of experience  – who are interested in using art work and the galleries exhibitions to inspire their own creative writing.

‘Writing and art are my passions, and I can’t think of anything more exciting than having the opportunity to share them with other creative people. To spend a half day in a gallery is always a total joy to me, and I hope that these workshops will help to build writers’ confidence and skills and enable them to approach the exhibitions as a resource for writing as well as a pleasure. To write with an exhibition is to see it in a completely new and much deeper way.’ – Wendy Ann Greenhalgh

Autumn Workshop Dates:

Saturday 3 October: Jerwood Gallery, Hastings

Saturday 7 November: De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill

Saturday 5 December: Towner Art Gallery, Eastbourne

Workshops are £30 each, which includes all entrance and exhibition fees. You can also book more than one workshop at a discounted rate. For prices and booking information, please visit the New Writing South website.
