Amongst Heroes: The Artist in Working Cornwall is the new exhibition at Two Temple Place, London (26th January-14th April 2013).

The exhibition explores artistic representations of the Cornish figure at work, primarily between 1880 and 1920. These powerful depictions of working Cornish men and women produced by visiting artists to the region played a significant role in the national development and recognition of Cornwall as a centre for the production of a particular kind of realistic, rural art.

The show features a loaned piece from the Jerwood Collection, Elizabeth Adela Stanhope Forbes ARWS Midday Rest, circa 1904. For more information about the exhibition click here.
