Film by Project Art Works

In early 2012, the Project Art Works artists and collaborators visited the Jerwood Gallery in the final week of its construction. Over the course of a bright winter’s day, six Tuesday Studios consultants, all of whom are highly sensitive to the sounds, surfaces, light and qualities of built space, made a raw experiential investigation and documentation of the building. The investigation was recorded through sound and video. To mark the first anniversary of the gallery another survey visit is planned by the group and the resulting film-sound work will be shown as part of Knock Knock.

Project Art Works, based in Hastings, is artist-led and local, regional and national in its scope and reach. Its projects and productions embrace and address the social, cultural and political forces that impact on the lives of people affected by neurological impairment. It plays a leading role in driving forward inclusive practice in contemporary visual art. Recent projects include collaborations with MK Gallery, Camden Arts Centre and FACT, Liverpool.
