8 year old Samuel Bradnum tells us about his visit to the gallery to see Marcus Harvey: Inselaffe before it closes on Sunday 16 October.

Today I went to Jerwood Gallery to see the Marcus Harvey exhibition.

It was exciting to go as there was so much work that I liked, scary ones, funny ones, happy ones.

It's like something I had seen before but I knew that I hadn't. One picture was like a ghost island, a ghost city, it's like a ghost ship and it looks like bats are coming out.

I really loved the Nelson sculptures, they are about history that I know. I thought the plinths they sit on look like lighthouses. I loved the Blue Peter badge and the hat on his head that looked like a target but with the colours of a flag.

I loved that there was lots of sports things to spot in the different work, footballs and cricket balls. They were great to find and made me want to do sport.

I think everyone should go and have a look and see if they think the same.
